VDB Ministries
Jesus Christ has called His church to be the caretakers of His creation. The following page contains information that will allow you to find vital ministries for the care of our communities. We are constantly looking for more churches that are searching for ministries for their area that will meet the needs in their communities according to the direction of Jesus Christ. Below are listings of the various outreach ministries that we are invovled with, food distribution, clothing and linens, shelter needs, teen pregnancy, domestic violence, and soon day care and Christian schooling. There are now several churches that are engaged in the Angel Food Ministries, and we are looking for more that will be able to join us in order to meet the needs in their communities. Our food pantry is now in operation so that we will have stocked foods for those that cannot make it week to week. We are developing a shelter ministry that will help those in need of housing to locate reasonable shelter and for those that are in need of repairs to their existing structures. A clothing and linen outlet will be in operation that will provide these items to those that have a real need for this ministry. Prison Ministries is a real and ongoing neccessity for all of our communities. When we reach out to the inmates that are locked up, we are also reaching out to their families too, who having one of more of the financial sources removed are in dire need of help and comfort. Teen pregnancy and the threat of abortions to the unborn are a major concern for all of us. We will provide not only counseling to these young mothers, but also options such as adoptions and financial help to get them started if they desire to raise their babies themselves. Our future day care center will also go hand in hand with these young mothers, inorder to provide a place for them to safely leave their children while they work. Daily we see domestic violence tearing families apart. We are here to provide couseling to those who want it, and legal options to those who cannot return to the abusive situations.
FOOD MINISTRIES:
Angel Food Ministries:This is a program that enables those who cannot afford the high prices of food at the grocery store to purchase quality meats, frozen vegetables and staples at bargain prices. We have taken this ministry because we take donations from those that can afford their food and use it to buy units of food for families that cannot. We give these units of food to those in need.Angel Food Ministries: If your church would like to start this ministry contact:
Valley of the Dry Bones Ministries: Dryfork, Harman, Job, Whitmer, Seneca Rocks, Wymer. vdbministries@gmail.com
Faith Baptist Church: Elkins and Beverly
Garden Co-op: Through this ministry we work with the growers in the area who have an
abundance of friut and produce, to gather and distribute them to those that cannot afford fresh
produce or cannot grow their own. This really effects the elderly who must decide between
their meds or eating.
Kitchen Pantry: Our kitchen pantry stocks canned and dry stock foods that will go hand in
hand with the Angel Food to ensure that those in need can feed their families.

1. Repair and Maintenance: There are so many in our areas that live in houses that are sub-standard. Some do not have indoor plumbing, some have houses that have been neglected for too long and no longer are structurally sound or are efficient in supplying heat and other necessities.
2. Remodels: Sometimes families are stuck in houses that are not sufficiently large enough for their needs and do not have the resources to do anything about it. We can help to make life a little better for them by enlarging the areas in their houses to make life a little easier for them.
3. Replacements: There are times when fixing a house is not an option and they need something that will meet their needs. We can come in and find replacement housing for them, sometimes by finding them a trailer or finding them units that will sufficiently meet their needs.
