Chicken BBQ

We here at Riverside Mennonite Church have our Memorial weekend Chicken BBQ on the Saturday before the holiday. We have been doing this for the last 10 years. This is a time that we gather together as one large family and work together to provide Chicken and dough nuts for the community. We have Chicken dinners that consist of 1/2 chicken, cole slaw, baked beans and a roll for $7.00, and 1/2 chicken for $4.00. We are very fortunate to have our brother and sister from the Harrisonburg, Va. area to make homemade dough nuts that are the delight of everyone that has ever eaten them. This has become a very special tradition in our area for many years, and we would just like to share this with you. Here are some of the people involved in this endeavor.
